I think Pres. Arroyo is on her way out. Impossible? Not really. Yes, she's still in control of the AFP, PNP, half of Congress, most of media, the Catholic church is too cautious and the majority of the people hopelessly distracted. But she will fall. If there's a God, she will lose.
Who will replace her? I don't know. I stopped looking. Noli de Castro won't make a difference. Franklin Drilon is too timid. Jose de Venecia should be poisoned. Artemio Panganiban is too detached. But maybe, just maybe, I've grown too cynical and blind to the merits and potentials of politicians. Maybe it's about time we listen to the people.
Better still, we should learn how to really listen to the people. They're not that articulate so it will take a lot of effort to understand them.
